I'm not very good at keeping my journal updated. Actually, I haven't really been spending too much personal time on my computer.

So much has happened since my last entry; it's been a whirlwind of excitement.

First of all, my boyfriend proposed to me on my birthday in March! I can't belive I'm engaged! I've already started planning. The date is set for April 8th, 2006. We are having a big engagement party down in New Orleans next month. It's going to be a blast. I'm working on the design of my dress, and my close friend is going to do the pattern & sewing. I haven't sewn that many wedding dresses, and he is far more skilled in that arena. I have tons of ideas, but I really need to narrown them down and get started on the whole process.

Also, I started a new job last week. I had been working on getting this job for a month. Interview after interview. I just couldn't stand my previous boss anymore, plus I got the vibe that the company was weakening. Well, it wasn't just a vibe...it was the truth.
My new job is cool so far. I'm working mostly with outdoor/lifestyle apparel; cargo shorts & pants, fishing shirts, camo, hoodies, tanks, etc....basics. I'm learning a ton about fabrics; performance fabs, construction, finishes, etc. It's great.

I've also been working on this new line for these two investors. They were looking for a trendy, funky missy line to sell to specialty boutiques. I designed the whole line and presented it to them...and they loved it. Now I am sourcing the styles in China. We have to have salesmen samples by August. It's a big rush, as usual. Industry standard practically. I'm thinking about posting the designs soon.

Well, that's really it with me. New job, new line, and wedding. It's alot of work; seems like I never stop. I work all day, make phone calls at any free chance, come home and email factories, meetings on the weekends, and trying to fit in wedding stuff in between.

It's cool though. I'd be bored otherwise.
